I have been shooting since the early 1960's and established a commercial advertising studio in 1970 after finishing my tour at Brooks Institute in Santa
Barbara.
Twenty years ago while shooting for an agency in San Francisco I was encouraged by one of the art directors to try to take to market the lighting systems
that I had made and used in my own studio. With that I built
more product and ran print ads about my photo lights.. A long story short, my lighting company North Light Products grew and went to international sales. After twenty years of designing and building photographic lighting equipment I have felt the need to do more photography and feed more of my creative senses.
For the last 5 years I have devoted my photography efforts into capturing all my images digitally.
I am shooting with a Better Light high resolution scan back for most jobs and fine art reproduction. Also using smaller lower resolution cameras for web usage and for capturing the spontaneity of the moment.

In my early years after Brooks Institute I worked for William Arbogast Studio in Palo Alto. I have always thanked him for his training and encouragement. We
have remained close friends for over 40 years.
